So, 2017

So, this is it, 2017 is here and things are off to a grand start. As of this post, still in the studio, making a return to the booth to complete "Post-Apocalypse" and trying to reach as many dans as possible. I feel as though this is the time to push my way into the future and barge my way into the world. The end is always near, yet immortality is just beyond reach, only if stop reaching. It is not something easily ignored, unless you are so content that the mundane is a relief. I suppose I could never be…Read more

12/23/16

This date is extremely significant in that it marks not only the release date of "The Magnificent Mutant: Volume 2", but also my return to the studio to continue recording for my next project, "Post-Apocalypse". It has been a long journey to this point, toward the end of a year plagued by pneumonia and a nearly complete loss of vocal production. Although I am sure there are many who would have rejoiced in this outcome, yet I will tell you, in no way will I give up so easily. I simply had to remember how far…Read more

Time is of The Essence

I know it has been a long time and it pains me to think about it when I can't avoid it.  I think there are times in everyone's life when their dreams take a backseat to their reality.  It isn't pleasant and often feels quite depressing, but it is an inevitability we cannot ignore.  We have to fight for our dreams, they will not just rest on our shoulders and make themselves obvious when we have dreamed long enough.  I had to come to this realization once again as I break out of this 2+ year slumber.  There…Read more

2012: Is this Really the End?

Every few years or so there is another prediction that is to come to pass and end the world as we know it. This year however, is the big one, the really big one. That is one reason I live life as if there will never be a tomorrow because yesterday is gone. Today is all you have, so live like it and you won't have to worry about when the world ends. Truthfully, it really only matters when you end if you want to be technical. Even if you believe in an afterlife, other than being delusional, you are also…Read more

After Life

People all over the world believe in some sort of afterlife, some sort of existence beyond this one in one way, shape, form or another. The possibilities are endless, and although it is fascinating to think about, we must not loose sight of the life we have, the only life we have that is beyond conjecture and theory. It is the practice of life that one should focus on in order to find fulfillment. Your purpose is to live, for better or worse, to make something out of yours that will not go unnoticed even…Read more

Rhyme and Reason

You assume that rhyme and reason are defined by god and heaven. Nature and science are based in rhyme and reason, not fantasy and fable. No one knows what happens after death and to proclaim to is nothing more then speculation based on superstition and fear. The mind is more powerful then you give it credit for and just as people see jesus in a piece of toast there are those conditioned to see "heaven's gates" in a moment of massive trauma. I have heard this explained by both religion and science in various…Read more

A Walking Dead Man

A mutant and a medical marvel:  Acute Sinusitis at 11 - 2 emergency surgeries to remove infectious pus from my brain through a hole in my eye. Totaled 2 cars in high school. Lived a very fast life, soaked it all up with experiences you could not possibly imagine with things and people you probably could not conceive. Unknowingly poisoned by a friend with enough liquid acid at a party to go on an infinite trip. I jumped out of a moving car and ran under a bridge to hide from aliens. Got hit by a car in a…Read more

Gospel Rap

Does everyone truly have their cross to bear? It seems as though there has been a flurry of crosses throughout hip hop and music in general as if it is the thing to do, a trend or fad. Truthfully, this might not be far from the truth. The idea of flaunting how much money you have, or had rather, by paying tribute to a supposedly divine martyr, a selfless soul who died that we might live. It is absolutely brilliant to have captivated so many for the past two thousand years. The problem is that this is…Read more

Interesting...Very interesting

Interesting how those who have no faith in man, have complete faith in books written by men, translated by men, amended by men, edited by men, hidden by men then given and sold by men. I too have little faith in mankind, but I do have faith in a few humans to whom I can believe in should I have need. There are many who do not have this and for this and a multitude of other prime motivations they choose to "believe" they have someone or something watching over them, enlightening and inviting them to better…Read more

The Melancholy Whimsical Parade of Shadows

The bleak, dark soul resides in a heart that wavers between day and night. The sunset often brings a new light at the time of descent and I know life turns another page. The end of days could very well be the end of this very day when in march the shadows. They give no call first, yet you can feel them coming with a sixth sense for such things. The shadows do not wish to be unknown to the mortal, they are indifferent in that they cannot be avoided when their time comes to collect the soul of the lost…Read more

Ever feal as if you were born in the wrong era?

It is as if some moments were captured from another day, another period for which I have never really known, yet each sunset brings alive another memory of this. I look around in the present and it is as if time has passed me by, like I am out of place, living within the skin of another. I am wandering about aimlessly when suddenly the cause strikes me. Before I have a moment to think I have reacted without hesitation or the skip of a single beat. I wonder what song in my head will provide the…Read more

Rapper Survives Cancer, Defies Death Yet Again

This just in, Chicago rapper Etare Neged has defied death yet again, this time surviving an extremely rare form of cancer: nasopharyngeal (the demon) carcinoma. Diagnosed during Thanksgiving of 2002 after a multitude of tests and examinations, he underwent 4 months of rigorous treatment culminating in 8 weeks of intense radiation therapy to the head, neck and face. At several points treatment became so intense that his flesh began to melt away, causing a number of complications, which left him clinging to…Read more

Message to Frontline Warrior

I know I am not yet there, but I feel I am on my way. My life has been filled with love and hate, pain and pleasure. "The Introduction of Mau Fatt the Rotgut" is a journey down the dark path of purification by pain. When I use the term "god" it refers to the conceptualization man has created. I believe in nothing as a whole, yet everything omnipresent and all encompassing, positive and negative energy that surrounds us all every moment we exist. I need not give these forces a name, for they live within…Read more
