This album chronicles one mans journey through the perilous world of darkness and despair in order to triumph over his demons. Often dealing with topics such as life, death, nature, time, government, religion, heroes, villains, mythology, fantasy, science fiction, morality and mortality; each song is a testament to one mans vision of himself as often seen through the eyes of the world. Etare Neged believes that if a picture is worth 1000 words, a song is worth 1000 pictures. This is Hip Hop for a new age with heart-pounding beats and graphic lyrics. Come, join the adventure. Let the Gothic quest begin...
"The Introduction of Mau Fatt the Rotgut" by Etare Neged is a new age hip-hop album chronicling one man's journey through a world of despair. With the fantastical concept comes a unique sound. There is a clear element of goth and horror present in the sound, although it is still a hip-hop album. A throaty vocal delivery and intense undertone add to the darkness and bring the sound full circle. Overall the album is an interesting experimental mix of hip-hop and darkness. Highlights include "You Made Me," with it's creepy bass line and intense vocal performance. "Space Disco (Remix)" features an eclectic arrangement, cool spacy sounds, intricate beats and tricky vocals. "The Gutwrenching Cyborg" takes the dramatics to the max and has nice flow in the vocals and cool effects. If you enjoy experimental Hip-Hop, give this CD a try. (WARNING! EXPLICIT LYRICS)

Etare Neged's fusion of gothic hip-hop leads the genre in the neo-goth world. Initially, the album oozes doom and gloom, however this is only surface deep-the lyrical mastery of this album lies in the fact, that it is not always what it seems. It takes the listener on a Horror House ride and pulls out all of the stops and whistles. "Tracks like Drugs" is particularly hypnotic in that it blends hip-hop with intense images of a night of debaucherous drug ods. Take that as a warning or an invitation, but the moral is this song will play with your head-just as the drugs do to your body and soul. Overall, the album creates a masterful revolutionarily-futuristic sound with addictive lyrics--after hearing Neged's gravelly vocal prowess, you are left with the aftertaste of sipping on the finest wine and being drunk with the painful pleasantness of the high. To miss this one would indeed be a sin!
